Meet Our Team

Welcome to our practice! I’m Dr. J. Mengi, a dedicated veterinarian with a passion for enhancing the quality of life for pets. As the founder and facility director, I bring over a decade of experience in veterinary medicine to our team.

 

I earned my BVSc & AH degree from PAU in India in 2010 and my education was further enriched by my clinical veterinary training at OSU in the United States. Clinical examinations process at Tufts University allowed me to start my career in North America and I honed my skills in emergency medicine while working in Northern Ontario and then in Ottawa area. I started Stittsville Kanata Veterinary Hospital in 2020 which has been an amazing experience.

My special interests lie in soft tissue surgeries, including dental extractions for infected teeth and FORL (Feline Odontoclastic Resorptive Lesions) extractions. I also focus on internal medicine and advanced diagnostics, utilizing state-of-the-art radiographs and ultrasound to ensure accurate and effective treatment.

 

Growing up, I was inspired by my father, a veterinarian specializing in large and small animals as well as regulatory medicine. His dedication to animal care ignited my own passion for the field, guiding me towards a career devoted to improving the well-being of pets.

 

Since establishing my practice in Ontario in 2012, I have been committed to providing comfort and increasing the quality of life for both cats and dogs, as well as rodents and other small animals. My approach is driven by a keen attention to detail, striving to recognize and address the subtle clues that pets may show.

 

In addition to my clinical work, I am passionate about streamlining processes and integrating advancements in technology to better serve our furry companions. My goal is to remove inefficiencies and leverage the latest innovations to deliver the highest standard of care.
